The weather was great at the show but the competition was even better!!!  Our team had a strong showing once again!!!  It was a week of FIRSTS  for everyone, Mark Blake/ Smokin Hot Girl, Barb Townsend/ Vaquero Legend, Mistress Gotta Gun/Cam Ranzau, and George Ranzau/ Rawhides Whiz Kid all were shown successfully for the 1st time!!!  Blake posted a smooth 71.5 in the Gents NonPro to take the win, 12 yr old Kate Buchanan and her buckskin In It For The Chics continue to climb the ladder scoring as high as 73!!! (WOW) to win the 13 and under, her 9yr old little sister Caroline and Joses T Chex are right behind her posting career best both days of 71.5, 72.5 to sweep the 10 and under.  Action in the Open Derby was awesome!!! Matt showed Mia Little Whiz and Wimps Cool Breeze, both owned by Janice Dickson.  Mia was 15th out and a couple bobbles that kept her out of the money.  4yr old Cool Breeze was solid in his first showing since the Open Futurity Finals in OKC with a 217.5, earning $1300+ for their efforts.  This was a good test for both horses, and with a few adjustments they WILL BE READY for next months major the NRBC in Katy, TX.
