One of the most common spin problems at any level — the horse that wants to walk or leak forward out of the turn. In this video I’m working with a 2 year old with about 5 months of training and walking you through a simple but highly effective drill: backing the horse up before initiating the spin. I break down exactly how to use this technique in daily training, how to apply it in paid warm-ups at shows, and importantly when to stop using it so the horse doesn’t start anticipating.
